The original watercolour features two mirrored images of the same face. On the left, the figure is depicted in the style of traditional Portuguese tiles (azulejos), highlighting bold patterns and vibrant green shades of colour. On the right, the same face is depicted realistically, using warm colours that enhance its lifelike appearance. The pink complements the green, connecting both sides of the artwork.
