The original watercolour features two mirrored images of the same face. On the left, the figure is depicted in the style of traditional Portuguese tiles (azulejos), highlighting bold patterns and vibrant blue colours. On the right, the same face is depicted realistically, using warm yellows and oranges that enhance its lifelike appearance. The warm colours complement the blue, connecting both sides of the artwork.
